These decks are the classrooms for the children attending this school. As this school serves a very large surronding area too vast for daily commute to and from school, children and teachers live at the school.

Well water: A precious resource during the dry season before the monsoon builds momentum from June through September as it makes its way north through Inida from the Indian Ocean.

School Playground: Even the children in rural North India have school uniforms. Every elementary school I attended during my entire stay required their students to wear uniforms.
