During the 2nd week of June, I visited my cousins in Pittsburgh for the holiday of Shavuot. The celebration commemorates the giving of the Torah and the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. It also celebrates the harvest of wheat in Israel and the ripening of the first fruit in the Holy Land.
